The min. requirement of the BMW Group Development dept for studded and soft compound tires is the legal (technical and functional) min. requirement for the tire manufacturers to sell a tire (which includes proof through certification on the side panel)! The warranty claim in the claim chain End customer > Dealer > NSC > Service provider/assembler of the studded and soft compound tires / winter wheels with tires > BMW AG > Tire manufacturer is thereby limited to the legal (technical and functional) min. requirement for tires. The sale of studded and soft compound tires/winter wheels with tires is limited to the countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine, but can have other markets added based on market requirements and after consultation with the BMW Group specialist depts! Potential national legal regs. must be observed independently by the markets before and/or during the process of selling/installing studded and soft compound tires/winter wheels with tires! Studded and soft compound tires/winter wheels with tires are not part of the current complete vehicle approval, which means that instl. in factory condition is not permitted! Thus instl. on new vehicles before their first registration is also not permitted! Prior to the sale/instl. of studded and soft compound tires/winter wheels with tires, customers must be made aware that the handling of their vehicle may change! Studded and soft compound tires/winter wheels with tires have a lower speed index, thus a speed index label must be adhered in the veh. when they are installed on the veh. The figure of studded/soft compound tires on the winter wheel with tire within the picture panel does not match the figure of the tire actually mounted! |
